1st day: Arrival
Arrival in the Cinque Terre Park during the day, accommodation in Farm Holiday / Relais and relax. Free dinner and overnight stay.
2nd day: The Cinque Terre Park
After breakfast , meeting with the guide and you will immediately leave by train for Riomaggiore, the first village of the Park, from where the tour begins.
The Cinque Terre Park are a splendid stretch of rugged coastline and the only unspoiled part in the Italian Riviera. The name derives from the five picturesque fishing villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. This area has been inaccessible from land for centuries, isolated by steep mountains and valleys on one side and the sea itself on the other. Thanks to its isolation, the unspoiled charm of the Cinque Terre is protected by the World Heritage Site and a National Park.
The trek will start from the most famous path, the “Blue Path” from which all the villages, one by one, will be visited (duration about 5 hours).
The beauty of this area, full of churches and sanctuaries, comes from the particular landscape, built by man with terraces overlooking the sea, where it is possible to find vineyards for the production of DOC wines, such as Sciacchetrà, and endless olive groves.
Lunch will be free.
At the end, free dinner and overnight stay.
3rd day: Monterosso al Mare between wine trekking
Breakfast and day dedicated to a wine - trekking, panoramic route that will make you discover some of the most spectacular vineyards of the 5 Terre, an area recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (the farm offers a snack consisting of 2 sandwiches, 1 bottle of 5 Terre DOP wine, 2 bottles half a liter of water, seasonal fruit for picnics during the journey through the vineyards for every 2 people).
It is an opportunity to deepen the history of vineyards and traditions of this area Then visit to the wine cellar and tasting of typical food products and wines produced in the vineyards just crossed.
Later guided tour of the village of Monterosso al Mare, the largest town in the Cinque Terre which is located in the center of a small natural gulf.
Admire the white sandy beaches, which you will not find in the other Cinque Terre villages, and the cliff, on which the Capuchin convent is perched.
In the late afternoon, free dinner and overnight stay.
4th day: Trekking on Palmaria Island and aperitif on board of an historic boat
After breakfast, meeting with the guide in the morning to transfer by boat to Palmaria Island. There you will find a circular trekking route, where, through easy paths and beautiful blooms, it will end to find immersed in an environment of suggestive and uncontaminated beauty (duration approx. 2h and 30 min.). Return to Portovenere by boat and free lunch. Afternoon dedicated to the guided tour of Portovenere, a splendid village with the small Church of San Pietro, built on the extreme point of the village from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the sea, the 12th century Castle, the Sanctuary of the White Madonna and the Byron’s Cave, where the English poet went to get inspiration for his poems.
At sunset, departure aboard an ancient leudo, a traditional Ligurian boat, and navigation along the coast between the pastel-colored houses of the ancient village and the uncontaminated island of Palmaria, with a unique background. The breeze of the open sea and the emerald waters accompany us to discover the jagged coasts and hidden bays, up to the Via dell’Amore.
That romantic atmosphere, you can enjoy an aperitif based on typical Ligurian products, such as the delicious Monterosso anchovies, toasting in the middle of the sea with the typical wine of the vineyards that you will admire in front of your eyes. And why not, relax with a refreshing dip in the moonlight. At the end free dinner and overnight stay.
5th day: Departure
Breakfast and departure for the return.
